Understanding Your Dosha Type:
the art of understanding your constitution

with Ayah Birakdar
Friday, March 27th
2-4pm

Have you ever noticed how something that works well for one person just doesn’t work the same for another? There’s no shortage of advice on diets, routines and habits, but how do you know what’s actually right for your system and your nature?

Doshas are Ayurveda’s way of understanding your mind–body makeup, and each person has their own unique baseline constitution (prakriti). As life unfolds—through stress, habits, environment, and daily rhythms—we can drift out of balance (vikriti). Ayurveda’s aim is to help us recognize those shifts and gently return to our natural state.

In this workshop, Ayurvedic practitioner and pulse reader Ayah Birakdar introduces the three doshas and explains why online quizzes often fall short, oversimplify, or can be unreliable when it comes to truly understanding your constitution. The session begins with a short, accessible teaching and is followed by individual time with each participant for conversation and pulse assessment.

Participants leave with a clearer understanding of their constitution, insight into their current imbalances, and personalized guidance to support greater balance in everyday life.
