Born out of a deep love for Mexico, her people, culture and land, Maha Rose South is a place to slow down, connect to your self and drop deeply into study and retreat.
Mazunte has been an astrological viewing point and sacred site since ancient times. Recognized as one of the "Pueblos Mágicos", the town is alive with festivals, folklore, the arts and welcoming hospitality.
The land has been a refuge and a teacher for the Maha Rose community since 2014. The qualities of the Divine Mother are richly experienced here through nature: she is soft and she is strong, both soothing and activating. Her heat melts the body and mind, while waking up the inner fire. We are grateful to the Oaxacan coast for holding us in beauty and power.
Maha Rose South is nestled in with her partner project, El Triángulo, a recording studio and creative arts center for children. Quinn Luke & Lisa Levine have been developing this project in collaboration with an eclectic team of builders, designers, musicians, artists and spiritual seekers since 2014. We gratefully opened our doors of the first phase of this project in February of 2023.

what to expect
We are on a fairly remote stretch of the Oaxacan Coast of Mexico. It’s wild, powerful, and beautiful, which is why we love it here. Visiting the Oaxacan coast is a unique opportunity to be immersed in nature. Maha Rose South at El Triángulo seeks to create an elegant experience while still being in touch and in balance with the ecosystem. If you are drawn to the long sunsets and bright blue skies, we also want to prepare you for the parts of living in a small Mexican town that may be less familiar.
