TEA & QI
with Eszter Tóth & Tasha Anderson
Saturday, August 15th
11-12:30pm
As we move through the vibrant energy of the Yang Fire Monkey month—a time associated with vitality, transformation, curiosity, and dynamic change—we invite you to pause, gather your energy, and cultivate presence through movement and tea.
We will begin with 30 minutes of a Qi Gong sequence (Four Golden Wheels) led by Tasha. This practice harmonizes your four main energy centers—the three Dantians (lower/vitality, middle/love, upper/wisdom) and the Central Meridian—using slow, flowing movements to restore balance and vitality.
From there, we'll transition into a 45-minute tea ceremony guided by Eszter. Through carefully prepared tea, mindful attention, and shared silence, we'll explore tea as a contemplative practice—one that encourages us to listen more deeply, soften the mind, and reconnect with ourselves.
The Yang Fire Monkey month (In BaZi, Chinese metaphysics) reminds us that transformation doesn't always come through force; it also emerges through awareness, adaptability, and the wisdom to know when to move and when to be still. Together, Qi Gong and tea offer both—a harmonious balance of motion and rest, vitality and reflection.
No previous experience is necessary. All are welcome.
