Holistic Sound Healing

Samer Ghadry is a Brooklyn-based dad, musician, and sound healer. With over 25 years as a drummer and singer, and a sound healing practice that began in 2018, he brings informed experience to his work. Originally from Maryland and Virginia, Samer studied Sociology at Brown University while pursuing music at every opportunity. He has recorded and toured with Matthew Dear, Angel Deradoorian, and Dave Harrington, and was a 2022 Music Resident at Pioneer Works. His discography includes several albums of experimental drone-based music, and he has contributed to major works like Alanis Morissette's Storm Before the Calm and the score for the film Everything Everywhere All at Once by Son Lux.

Samer's sound healing journey officially began with a Maha Rose training in January 2018. He went on to complete 100hr certification programs at the Sage Academy (Woodstock, NY) and extensive studies with 9Ways Academia (Perkasie, PA), later returning to both as an assistant. He has also been a student of Dr. John Beaulieu since 2018, and quickly became an assistant for his online and in-person programs, as well as leading his own tuning for workshops. Samer’s drumming skillset lead to a specialization in gong playing. Samer has attended several Gong Camps led by Don Conreaux and Mitch Nur, and has taught his own gong workshops in NYC and Miami in addition to private mentoring.

Since 2024 Samer has been the sound healing resident at Public Records, and has been a resident DJ at The Lot Radio since 2016. He helped design the gong installation at the Rubin Museum's Mandala Lab and performs improvisational ambient concerts at venues throughout New York City, in addition to offering regular sound healing classes across the tri-state area. Samer blends energetic, spiritual, and philosophical disciplines into musical therapeutic spaces. He is reiki attuned and has had direct experience with Lakota traditions through Rebecca Singer and Chief White Cloud of Vancouver Island. Samer approaches his work with keen awareness, compassion, sincerity, and joy.
