Mindful Writing Workshop

with Sarah Herrington
Saturday, November 1st
12-2pm
Maha Rose Brooklyn

Want to connect to your voice, creativity and leave feeling centered and supported by community? In this class we'll meditate and generate writing--you'll leave with new words on the page, a calmer nervous system and with tools for continuing your artistic practice.

We'll begin by dropping into silence through meditation and breath work, then we'll connect with the realm of language through a sequence of in-class, generative writing exercises.

We will consider what it means to write from the body, memory, and how to use the power of the present moment as an inexhaustible writing prompt.

You will leave this workshop with new work, meditative exercises to help you stay connected to your creativity, and writing practices you can use immediately and return to again and again. This workshop is open to both new writers and those with a writing practice.
