Listening To Your Body:
Getting in Tune for the New Year

with Lavender Suarez
Sunday, January 18th
6:30-8:30pm

“No one can listen to your body for you...To grow and heal, you have to take responsibility for listening to it yourself.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn Ph.D.,  Founder of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction)

In this meditative & restorative mind-body workshop participants will be guided through breathing exercises, simple vocalizations, body scanning, and gentle somatic movement exercises to assist in releasing tension in the body and reviving for the New Year. The class will be supplemented with live healing music through gongs, singing bowls and bells and culminate in a live sound bath. This cumulative process helps with deep relaxation and provides mental & physical clarity.

No previous meditation practice is needed to attend this workshop. Sound healing has often been referred to as a "gateway" to deeper meditative practices due to its accessible nature. Please dress comfortably.
