This workshop is an introduction to the intuitive practices of plant spirit medicine and flower essence therapy. Learn the subtle art of working with plants as a way of deepening your connection with nature.


Participants will learn about Calendula and how its unique properties align with the signatures of Leo. What Leo themes have been coming up for you and what will you be ready to complete or release around this full moon? We will discuss the differences between herbal remedies and flower essences and we will offer both- Calendula tea and Calendula flower essence as you are guided through a meditation to meet the plant on an intuitive level.


Ways of incorporating these practices into daily life will be shared so you can continue to develop a supportive relationship with plants.

Whitney Artell

Whitney (she/her) is an herbalist, Reiki Master, artist, trauma-informed yoga facilitator, and sound healer who splits her time between the seacoast of Maine and Brooklyn. She loves helping others find creative flow by nurturing their connection to Nature, both within and around them. Whitney began her ancestral herbalism studies in Ireland in 2017, apprenticing under Sage Mauer of the Gaia School of Healing and Earth Medicine. She has been leading meditations since completing her yoga certification in 2016 in India and is passionate about learning from/ honoring earth-based traditions around the world.

Amy Schimel

Amy Schimel is a Master Reiki practitioner, Flower Essence Therapist and intuitive Tarot reader. She believes providing a safe space free of judgment and expectation is essential for healing and transformation to occur. Her intention is to support the human and spiritual journey with sensitivity and compassion. Amy’s reverence for Nature informs all of her practices by grounding and connecting her to the animal and plant spirits, as well as honoring all those who came before us who tended their connection with Spirit and the land we are on today.
