Casting World-Changing Spells:
an in-person workshop for Younger Teens
(12-15) socialized as girls
with Lily Kafka
Saturday, September 13th
6:30-8pm
Circle-up with professional big sister and mentor,
Lily Kafka during the overwhelm of back-to-school to:
Circle up with other younger teens in a way that you’ve never experienced: a group where you feel safe being your real, unfiltered, wild, self. Where you’re radically included just as you are, and make actual connections.
That’s right - that means no judgmental looks across the group, or the immediate cliques that feel exclusive + mean, or feeling like you’re walking on a tight rope to fit in + feel safe…phew!
Don’t believe me? Come + find out!Not just ‘talk’ like you’re in a school classroom, but play, make art, move our bodies, take a nap, and experience the magic of our gifts… together ;)
Unpack what ‘leadership’ actually means and why you already are one (yes you!)
This is for you if…
You’re sensitive and have alllll the feelings about the world right now (it's a lot, right?)
You don’t know what to do with the heartbreak of growing up in a world that feels so different than what you had hoped
You want to find + make more magic with your one precious life (magic aka that ‘childlike’ awe, inspiration, and feeling of endless possibility)
You want to make a change but don’t know if you fit the rigid description of a ‘leader’
What to expect:
We’ll be journaling, talking about the stuff that actually matters (the stuff that breaks our hearts and also what fills them up), making friends that *actually* get it, moving our bodies or napping or whatever your body wants to do, eating yummy snacks, and bravely practicing being our real selves…together.
Come be a part of it.
See you there

Lily [she/they] is a Certified Badass Girls Mentor, a period nerd, and a forever student of belonging. She began her journey with Eliza at Mothering & Daughtering as a teenager, first as a participant in the workshops with her mom, and then as a M&D assistant. Lily was then the first Badass Girls mentee, the first Badass Girls assistant, and the first Certified Badass Girls Mentor with almost a decade of facilitation experience now under her belt in her early 20s (when you know, you know). Lily graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in Sociology. She has worked as a co-teacher for Wise Bodies, leading workshops on pleasure activism, and was a community organizer and activist at her college. More than anything Lily loves being out in nature – and you’ll likely find her talking to a plant, growing food, or studying up for her next herbalism school class.
