Authentic Movement:
Temple of the Self
with Sherene Vismaya
Monday, July 13th
6:30-8:30pm
Do you know how to listen to your own body — not as a problem to solve, but as a temple to inhabit?
Temple of the Self is an Authentic Movement workshop that invites participants into the ancient practice of moving from the inside out — following inner impulse rather than external choreography, and learning to trust the body as a source of profound wisdom and self-knowledge.
In this mini immersive, Sherene Vismaya guides movers and witnesses through the core structure of Authentic Movement: eyes closed, body listening, moving only when moved. Participants explore the rich inner landscape of sensation, image, memory, and emotion that lives in the body — and begin to recognize the intelligence that has been there all along.
No dance background is required. No performance. No right way to move.
Temple of the Self is for for anyone who has ever felt disconnected from their body, overwhelmed by the noise of the mind, or longing for a practice that unites body, mind and creative expression . Participants leave with a felt sense of inner authority — a renewed capacity to trust their own instincts, sensations, and knowing.
The temple has always been within you.
