This is a safe, supportive, nurturing, positive, fun and empowering experience. It includes personal exploration, experiential exercises, videos, guided journal writing, small group discussions, music, stories and play.

Michelle Gannon, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in San Francisco where she has worked with individuals and couples for over 25 years. She is also the Clinical Director at the San Francisco Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (SFCEFT) where she teaches and supervises other therapists about relationships, attunement, intimacy, building secure attachments and forgiveness. Dr Gannon co-leads Rising Strong™ Workshop (based on the work of Brené Brown) with Beth Jaeger-Skigen, LCSW. Michelle also co-leads Hold Me Tight® Workshop with Sam Jinich, Ph.D. (based on Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy and the work of Sue Johnson). Michelle has led over 300 workshops and trainings in San Francisco, Marin, San Diego, Oregon, Esalen Institute, 1440 Multiversity and Internationally. Michelle received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto. She completed her Ph.D. dissertation research on psychotherapy outcome at Stanford University and her postdoctoral and internship training at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and California Pacific Medical Center. Michelle is frequently interviewed about relationships in the media such as the San Francisco Chronicle, TIME, Huffington Post, PEOPLE, CBS Early Show, Evening Magazine TV and many more. Michelle and Beth are excited to bring Rising Strong™ Workshop to Maha Rose in NYC! Beth Jaeger-Skigen, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in San Francisco where she has worked with individuals, couples and groups for over 25 years. Beth completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also on faculty at the San Francisco Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (SFCEFT) where she teaches and supervises other therapists in couples therapy. Beth is endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy as a Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor. Beth is committed to working with the community and to empower people to make choices that move them closer to living the lives they want. She is passionate about encouraging and helping people to identify and reduce the choices that take them further from what they want and deserve. Beth is empathic and grounded and she shows up with her full self and full heart in all of her work. Clients appreciate that Beth is real, proactive and attuned to their experience. Beth Jaeger-Skigen has led over 300 groups, workshops & trainings in San Francisco, San Diego, Esalen Institute, 1440 Multiversity and Internationally.
