Learn traditional and experimental techniques to revamp your wardrobe and home. Lisa Levine has been obsessed with tie-dyeing since 2011 when she learned the art from Shabd Simon-Alexander. This workshop will teach you the basics of tie-dye from your home. There is a real joy in getting wet, tying things up, playing with color and then being totally surprised by the results. It is an art form where we can put our intention in but we cannot fully control the results. It’s a great lesson! And the mystery of the reveal is as good as Christmas.
Get ready to get messy and have fun! This class will be all hands on.

For this workshop you will need:
- Things to DYE:
- Anything made of natural fibers: cotton, silk, wool. Blends can work if they are mostly natural fibers
- You can dye new items (pre-wash for best results)
- You can also dye used items that need some new life. This is one of my favorite uses for tie-dye as it is great for refreshing older items in your wardrobe or home
- Clothing, sheets, towels, curtains, napkins, socks, underwear, get creative!
I’d say at least 3-5 colors for a full dye experience
This is used to pre-soak things to dye. Get at least the 5lb bag
Plastic bins to soak things in
Small plastic containers (large yogurt container size)
Spoons for spooning your dyes
Squeegee bottles if you want to get fancy (not essential)
