Saturday, June 24th -- Intro to Wholistic Embodied Ecstatic Sexuality

This class will be an overview and teaser on the material that will be presented in further depth in the four week class.  By taking this class you will not just be teased you will take home tools and explore some important concepts towards being on the path of a fully embodied, multi leveled, mind/body/spirit/sacred space/sacred body self loving wholistic ecstatic sexuality.  

The class will be taught through lecture, experiential anatomy, asana, breath and energy work, discussion and embodied play which comes from theater education.

Marisa will create a safe space and honoring the needs and safety of all those present.  That said, most of us have been subjected to some sexual trauma in our lives and it is important that everyone comes prepared to take care of themselves and seek further help if any trauma is aggravated or exposed.  Marisa is a trauma survivor herself and has healed and will always be healing through the practices in these classes.  That said each of us will come with our own boundaries and those boundaries will be honored.  All exercises in class are clothes on, no genital touch.  Exercises will be sensual and challenging on some levels.

Things you will You will learn in this class:

*what is sacred space/sacred sex/sacred body practice and how do we move into that from the simplest steps and practices to the more intricate deeper and deeper levels.

*the importance of wholistic embodied sex as a health, self care and self love practice and even a spiritual practice.  All healthy sex begins with knowing oneself.  The definition of second chakra, svadhistana, is “standing in the self.”  

*a better understanding of your pelvic and sexual anatomy.

*the health benefits of healthy sex, orgasm and proper understanding of the g-spot, your pelvic and sexual anatomy and the health benefits of female ejaculation.

*how to honor and hold sexuality as an energy, as a piece and connection to our vitality or life force, which once we can understand and honor we than direct into our creativity, our radiance, our love, and everything we do.  

*how to communicate with self and partner around, during and after sharing sacred space, sacred sex and our bodies.  

*how to expand your orgasmic potential—energy orgasms, laughing orgasms, multiple orgasms, or being ecstatic with no orgasms.

Marisa Sullivan is a certified yoga teacher with extensive training including certification from Sivananda, Jivamukti, Pelvic Floor Training through Leslie Howard, Prenatal through Ma Yoga, Mommy and Me Post Natal, and YCAT Yoga for Cancer and Chronic Illness.  She teaches Yoga for Cancer Patients and Survivors at NYU Hospital.  She teaches Chair Yoga in several senior centers and Dementia Nursing Homes.  She has an extensive private practice working with therapists and Psychiatrists with clients with anxiety, depression and eating disorders, with clients with ongoing illness and injury who need a modified yoga practice, and with anyone who loves yoga and wants to explore a investigative, personalized, therapeutic yoga practice .  She teaches Laughter Yoga, Wholistic Embodied Ecstatic Sexuality and Charkras and Vocal Production workshops and has presented them at Laughing Lotus, Go Yoga, Maha Rose, KamaDevi Yoga and Jivamukti Yoga Center.  Marisa is an intuitive healer using Reiki and Shamanic Practices.  She is a Reiki Master and teaches and mentors other healers.  With an extensive performance background in dance and theater as well as a Masters in Theater for Educational and Therapeutic Use, Marisa uses theatrical techniques that embody play and creativity in her teaching and healing.  She is constantly exploring and learning through her teachers, her peers, her students and her life.
