Samantha began her personal journey with Chinese medicine over 15 years ago, turning to acupuncture for migraines when modern treatments had failed. After experiencing the effectiveness of acupuncture, while already having a love of east Asian philosophy, Samantha was inspired to enroll in a formal program of Chinese medical training.
Leaving her corporate life behind, Samantha received her Master of Science degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City where she was trained in four different styles of acupuncture, as well as biomedical physiology and pathology. She has over 3,000 clinical and didactic hours in the acupuncture styles of Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), Kiiko Matsumoto Japanese Acupuncture (KM), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM). Samantha interned with the president and founder of the college Dr. Mark Seem, who pioneered the APM style, integrating the use of trigger point dry needling with traditional acupuncture. Using this style of practice, alongside adjunct therapies such as cupping, gua sha, electric stimulation, and manual manipulation, Samantha has helped many athletes, dancers, runners, and fitness enthusiasts return to physical health after injuries, repetitive strain, and physical or mental exhaustion. Samantha draws on her own experience as a dancer and dealing with her own injuries to inform her sports medicine treatments.
Samantha continues her education under the mentorship of Master Practitioner Timothy Aitkin LAc, who practices a tradition of acupuncture rooted in ancient Taoist philosophy and classical Chinese pulse diagnosis. By using this style of diagnosis and treatment, Samantha works with patients targeting deeper issues of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, chronic pain, digestive issues, women's issues, and healing past trauma. She also uses the subtle information found in the pulse to inform treatments for general wellness and preventative health.
Samantha is dedicated to her craft and passionate about cultivating a wide range of healing practices to integrate within her treatments. Her training includes:

Samantha was one of the very first acupuncturists I tried when I was dealing with nerve pain down my arm due to slipped disc and fatigue. She has been with me throughout my entire journey of healing and has provided excellent care, feedback, and treatments all along the way. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her back then, and it's wild to think about how immobile I was then and how I'm basically 10000% ok now. Nerve pain is a very terrifying thing to deal with (as is any bodily injury), and having Samantha as my practitioner definitely allowed me to relax and trust the treatments. I still go to her regularly for ongoing support and care, and cannot recommend her enough. -Anya F.
Samantha saved my life! A friend had suggested that I try acupuncture for my anxiety. I was a little nervous about it because I have a terrible phobia of needles, but Samantha is the most gentle and incredible healer. Whenever I'm experiencing an imbalance, physically or mentally, I know I have someone that I trust to help me work through it. I've been seeing her for 4 years now, and I can't say enough positive things about my experience. -Addi M
