Card of the Week: April 13, 2015 April 13 2015

Hello Six of Pentacles! Fancy seeing “the Lord of Material Success” as Tax Day looms just around the corner. How fitting that the six, the highest manifestation of each suit, finds us here within the world of pentacles, highlighting the sectors of career, wealth, health--all aspects of material manifestation. Reversed today--no doubt as we all finalize our returns and send in checks to the government--some of us need a reminder of how to connect with the feeling of flow. Let us turn to both the higher and lower polarities of the Six of Pentacles.

The sixth sephirot on the Tree of Life represents beauty. All sephirot on the tree lead to beauty for beauty lies directly in the middle of the tree, emphasizing the beautiful balance manifest in the six of each suit in the Tarot. What is it that the Six of Pentacles wishes for us?

A figure stands before two kneeling figures, creating a perfect triangle that we see mirrored throughout the Tarot, including the Lovers, the Devil, and Judgement. The relationship with such cards speaks to discernment, trust in Spirit that guides you and the liberation of knowing that all is mental--our thoughts are everything. The top of the triangle in the Six of Pentacles is a generous person, rooted in flow, balanced and giving in the energy exchange of all things material. The kneeling folk are in harmony with the flow, as well, receiving that which is generously given. Equal and opposite, both the giving and receiving are elevated here in the beauty of the six.

And so, dear readers, no need to evaluate the giving and the receiving. Just participate. The outward giving is met and matched by the inward receiving. Comparison has no place here. We are all part of this gifting process. Manage your resources with the gentleness of knowing. “You have arrived, you are home.”
